The Synoptic Roots Project
Polarization, Trench Warfare,
and Walking in No-Man’s Land – The world in which we live today is becoming so disconnected, fast-paced, and hyper-polarized. We instantly grab onto an opinion, take sides and dig trenches deeper and deeper, longer and longer. We gather around us, only those who agree with our position. It’s easy to listen only to the talk that supports our side. Very few are willing to walk out into the “No-Man’s Land” between the trenches…Very few are willing to be fired upon by both sides of an argument. The Synoptic Roots Project is an intentional walk into No-Man’s Land. Our goal is to listen, learn, and love. To come together as a gathering of independent and unique individuals openly and freely explore Christ, his Church and what it means to be a “Christ-like” believer. To guide us and keep us out of the trenches in this walk, we have created the Four Legs of Our Table. Follow the link to read about the Four Legs. |
The Table
Our Synoptic Roots Dinners are where we record our podcast discussions. The intention is to create an evening with the atmosphere Jesus, his disciples, and guests may have experienced 2,000 years ago. The Table is where we do our walking, talking, listening, learning and loving. It is the place where we build relationships and grow. You can follow this link to find our more about our dinners and make reservations Everything we do in the Synoptic Roots Project is aimed at pushing and pulling all of us into a deeper understanding of God’s love, understanding, and compassion. Our journey is new. We hope that this project will grow into more creative expressions of Christ and learning to walk as he did…in No-Man’s land.
